Assessing the Reliability of Treated Grey Water Irrigation on Soil and Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L.)

Under a water scarcity situation, it is expected to manage more efficiently. This study aims evaluate the effect of treated grey (from laundry and tableware), pre-treated through wetland mini-reactor with horizontal underground flow, on soil tomatoes. The experiment included two tomato cultivars (Dart Firenze), planted in completely randomized bloc design, irrigated (TGW) vs. ground (C) as control. Soil, leaves fruits were assessed for microbial contamination. Tomato yield, physico-chemical characteristics antioxidant contents studied. Results showed that TGW met standards irrigation most quality variables. Irrigation increased concentrations phosphorus (P), iron (Fe) copper (Cu) soil. Although, ionic composition was still suitable range agriculture. Opportunely, there no contamination by fecal coliforms, streptococcus E. coli Dart cultivar seems be responsive had higher fruit number weight. response accompanied an effective response, juice content. findings this emphasize may provide way preserve resources avoid
